Please note the following:

Adoption applications may be reviewed by several volunteers.
We are entirely volunteer run, and sometimes it can take a few days for us to respond to all requests depending on the volume.
Please fill out the adoption inquiry form to begin the adoption process. A BFF Adoption Coordinator will respond to your inquiry by email and will arrange a time to come and meet the cat of your choice and will forward a more detailed application form to complete the adoption process.
The welfare of the cat is our top priority. Making sure our fur babies go to forever homes that are the best match for their personality is the most important factor.
If we do not approve your application for a specific cat, we may be able to help you find one that better suits your family/situation.
- The Adoption Fee is $250.00
  - Adoption fee includes all age appropriate vaccines at the time of the adoption and spay/neuter. The cost of future veterinary care and annual vaccinations are the responsibility of the adopter.
- BFF will disclose any information we have from veterinary visits and examinations that occur while a cat is in our care. Unfortunately, we cannot be responsible for health issues that may occur once a cat has been adopted as we do not have the financial resources to provide ongoing veterinary care to cats no longer legally in our care.
- We make every effort to gather background information about a cat, and disclose what is known. Our volunteers and foster families work closely with the cats to socialize and train them to interact with humans and they provide input into the descriptions of each cat’s personality and temperament. However, cats may exhibit different behaviours in the new environment of their adopters home. If a newly adopted cat is experiencing difficulty in adapting to their new surroundings, our volunteers can provide advice, guidance and support to help you make your new cat or kitten more comfortable.
