What we do
Our primary focus is educating the community on the benefits of spaying and neutering your cats to end the cycle of unwanted kittens. We rely on foster homes to care for mother cats and young kittens and have a small assessment/transition facility to provide medical attention and socialization to rescued feral, stray and abandoned cats in the Bayfield area.

Our History

Our History
Deb Penhale, a local realtor who founded BFF, said the group began by “accident” as she was showing a cottage and saw six tabby kittens on the cottage’s back deck. She was able to trap the kittens and find homes for them. After that experience, Penhale realized there were a lot of homeless cats in the area. In 2017 she formed BFF with a small group of volunteers.
